Fergie – Double Dutchess Album (Zip Download)
Pop singer Fergie has been working on a solo comeback for a few years now, and today she took another big step towards making a serious and lasting impact on the charts once again.
Music industry titan BMG announced that the internationally adored pop star and Black Eyed Peas member has left Interscope Records and has signed a deal with BMG, which will be working with the powerhouse her upcoming sophomore studio effort, Double Dutchess. While it may sound exciting that the “Fergalicious” singer has a new album on the way, those who have been following Fergie for the past few years will know better than to get their hopes up. She has been talking about releasing Double Dutchess for quite a long time, but no date or tentative time period has been revealed, including as part of today’s announcement. The release did state that new music is “expected to begin its rollout towards the end of the summer,” but that doesn’t give too much insight as to when the album might finally arrive in full.
While Fergie has now signed a deal with BMG, which has also been the architect behind recent No. 1 albums from the likes of Janet Jackson (2015’s Unbreakable) and Blink-182 (2016’s California), the company also revealed that the pop icon has formed her own record label, appropriately called Dutchess Music. Double Dutchess will technically be released on her own imprint, while BMG will handle all of the traditional tasks a record label would.
